Weekly Yeti!

On the theme of Disney, this week’s Yeti comes to you from the Expedition Everest ride at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Here he is:
From wikipedia…
The complex yeti figure has the following technical details
- The yeti’s “skin” measures 1,000 square feet (93 m2), and is held in place by 1,000 snaps and 250 zippers.
- The yeti’s movement is controlled by 19 actuators.
- The yeti can move five feet horizontally, and two feet vertically.
- The yeti is 22 feet (6.7 m) tall.
Recently the Yeti figure has stopped moving, and is now in what is referred to as “B Mode,” where the yeti does not move, but a strobe effect is cast on it to give the impression that the figure was still moving. It is unknown at the time whether or not the yeti will be fixed.
So there ya go.
