Another wicked package arrived in the post today (I had a package a day this week that excited me, I’ll blog about those at the weekend), my hipstery t-shirt!
It’s all books! This pretty t-shirt came from tilteed (this one!), and was chosen by the hipstery based on my quiz answers. Look at all the stuff they send with it, too, stickers, an old photo (?), 3d glasses. Cute! So, there’s a discount voucher on my package 10% off with code ‘goforthandmultiply’ … I guess you guys can use it?

So I was chatting to my Mum earlier on, and she said ‘Did you see that Vivienne Westwood t-shirt for Haiti? it’s got boobs on it’ .. aghast at the fact my Mother of all people knew about a Vivienne Westwood t-shirt before I did, I quickly found it on the trusty interwebs.
Vivienne Westwood has designed a limited edition t-shirt in collaboration with Fashion For Relief which will be unveiled at the Fashion for Relief show to be held on 18 February in London. The t-shirt will be sold exclusively at the show as well as on www.viviennewestwoodonline.co.uk and in the Vivienne Westwood Conduit Street and World’s End stores. It is a fact that women and girls are particularly vulnerable in emergency and crisis situations and are frequently neglected during initial efforts to provide food, water and shelter. Late this January a UN report stated that in Haiti 240,000 pregnant and lactating women will require nutritional support. Proceeds from the sales of the Vivienne Westwood designed t-shirt will go to The White Ribbon Alliance which supports the health needs and rights of women and girls around the world, with special focus on its partners in Haiti at this time who are helping to rebuild the healthcare system for mothers and babies.
‘It’s good isn’t it?’… yes, Mum, it is good. So I bought one.

Sorry, this is turning into some kinda bi-weekly (di-weekly?) good stuff lately… blame Christmas shoppers and their insistence of buying from finestimaginary.com (oh hai, shameless plug… 20% off with code SNOWFLAKE).
- Let’s kick this off with a fabulous t-shirt sale at Threadless! they already started their $12 Christmas sale, but they’ve knocked all shirts down to $9 for black friday! Woop! I bought the one above.
- Last Saturday I went to jodrell bank with Adam for Jodcast Live (the jodcast is a monthly podcast all about astronomy, if you’re into that shit you should definitely give it a listen)! Adam did the sound effects, they were lovely. The majority of the day was actually spent driving around Cheshire… also, I drove to Macclesfield, what a stupid place.. how many roundabouts does one place need? Jesus.
- This is the thing that made me laugh the most this week, remember the guy who wanted to pay his bill with a 7 legged spider drawing? That was nothing compared to this. Amazing.
- I’m in love with these super colourful prints from Pancakes & Franks. Really, really nice, check out their site to see the others in the series.
- Lily Cole and Lady Gaga (and some guy) in vogues Hansel and Gretel photoshoot by Annie Liebovitz. More here. Speaking of Lady Gaga, I’ve been obsessed with her new video and album this week. Love her!
- Great set of photographs from Philip Toledano, Hope and Fear. Some of them are pretty freaky, like the giant boob person.

- Speaking of cats, Pumpkin & Bramble had their lady-parts ripped away the other day. They’ve now got giant bald patches on one side, poor kittens. Pumpkin has already managed to rip out her stitch too, nice.

- Craft magazine has had a few posts about machine knitting lately, I’ve always wanted to try it out.I might invest in a machine next winter, knit up some great things for the store – what do you think?
- And to finish, you should definitely check out the Luxirare blog if you don’t already. I’m not sure if she’s a genius or has way too much spare time, this is one of my favourite posts on how to make parfait (seriously, you NEED to check this out, it’s not an every day recipe at all).

That’s right, the nominees for 2008 bestee awards are on the threadless website. Uh, I’m a bit late in posting about this really as the voting kinds ends on the 26th of this month… oops! Anyway, still pleanty of time to get your vote in. The bestee (I keep typing that as betwee…) awards recognise the best designs of the previous year, awarding the top designer with $20,000!
This year I put my important vote to a design that I hadn’t even seen before, but as it’s one of my most favourite things in the world (fairytales) I just had to make my mark there…
