Weekly Good Stuff!

Posted by kim on July 3rd, 2009

Hey guys, hope this makes up for last week’s cold induced absence. This week’s been a good one, if a little too warm.

paper castle 4

  • If I were a paper princess, I’d like to live in this paper castle.
  • I bought the calculator watch of dreams! It’s currently winging it’s way to me :D Wahoo!

paint drip hanger

  • To say I really fucking want this would be an understatement. It would match our kitchen amazingly. omg.
  • Doe Deere wrote an interesting article/interview about running your own business.

Polyvore set

  • I want those nikes this much. I’ve been playing with outfit ideas on polyvore. Note the watch of dreams, too.

Flickr favourites

  • My flickr favourites seem to have a ridiculous amount of norwegian forest kittens.Tiem to start looking at other things again!
  • Happy 4th of July weekend to all my American friends, we’re headed out for steaks tomorrow night in celebration!
  • The FinestImaginary giveaway winner was announced on the lovely little deer blog, they went for the pink teapot necklace! For those of you who didn’t win, I’ll be posting a competition on the FinestImaginary website this weekend. You can subscribe to the blog over there to be the first to know! Also, use code ‘madeyoulook’ for a sweet saving at checkout :D

I can’t remember where I came across this the other day, but check out these fabulous pieces of work by Ana Serrano. This one reminds me of a bustling South American town (not that I’ve ever been to any, one day one day!). I love the use of colour in this, so bright and lively.

This is another of my favourites… The small illustrations really make these pieces. So lovely.

It’s amazing what this girl can do with paper & card! As soon as my studio is back to a fully functioning (and carpetted) state, I really need to start making art again. Considering I’m an Art graduate… le sigh. I miss getting messy! Ana also writes a neat blog, here.
