Annie’s eats does chicken and shrimp jambalaya, we’re having a deep south cook-off in our kitchen in the next couple of weeks. We’ll have gumbo, jambalaya, red velvet cake, corn bread, sweet p’tatos & all manner of cajun goodies. Think we’re doing a sausage jambalaya!
How was your week? Mine was so-so, between dodging the rain and wrestling kittens off the curtains, it was pretty run of the mill. I did start reading the Harry Potter series again, though, which is always uplifting. So, I missed a weekly good stuff last week for some random reason, here’s a combined list of last week’s and this week’s stuff :D
Great use of a t-shirt for the new Resident Evil: darkside chronicles. Win.
Article about web fonts, or lack of, at the i love typography blog.
I’ve featured Helen Musselwhite’s work in my weekly good stuff, last week there was a great interview with her on the Creative review blog. A really nice read!
Best blog find of the week… Awful library books. You’ll be reading the posts for days!
Amazing CSS goodies, love this one and the mug the most.
The amazingly lovely work of Courtney Brims. Pretty girls with animals, fairy tales and woodland scenes. It’s all I’m about lately! See more at her website. pretty.
We saw Moon last weekend, you should really check it out. And did you know the director is David Bowie’s son? He goes by his regular old name nowadays, though.
I don’t know about you guys, but I’m always one to take pen to paper before doing anything on the computer. Stuffing boxes within boxes to show divs with padding and margins, scribbled lines for text, stick men landscapes for images etc. It seems that this au natural design method is the way to go, have some early concept sketches for flickr, twitter, vimeo and all your fave haunts!
Visitors to the site may notice a tiny orange balloon floating across the bottom of the screen, that’s because hiphopsideproject is taking part in the new orange balloon race game!
I’ve got my own balloon taking part too, here’s Gerald- A Camel! Click on him to go get your own balloon :)
(if you’re on a feed you’ll need to visit hiphopsideproject.com to see more of this post!)
Hi, I'm Kim. Between being a web designer and making pretty things I'm mostly interested in Creatures (regular and crypto), geekiness, my inner domestic goddess, drawing and coffee.
