This story made me squee the other day, two trekkers going through the USA and down through South America picked up a companion in Louisiana. Adorable. Via cuteoverload
Gorgeous work of Istvan Vasil, found on poppytalk this week. My kinda colours!
London’s flagship Mulberry store transformed into a colourful Glastonbury, more images on the CR blog.

A day late! But I was at Iron Man 2 last night (which is most excellent) so didn’t get a chance to post this. Just a few things this week..!
Lovely work by artist Ben Heine, see more on his flickr.
Great seller on etsy who upcycles vintage crockery into pieces of wonderfulness. Ranging from dinosaurs to star wars, check them out here.
Love this photo post on Oh Joy! this week, nothing better than super colourful houses. I’m really loving mixing tonnes of different colours right now, we have this mix going on on our landing walls.
Octopus chandeliers posted on Craftzine this weekend, nice nice.
Hey guys, sorry about the lack of posts this week, been a busy one! I do have several recipes and some other goodies lined up as drafts though that I’ll work on this weekend and schedule for next week :) Also, this week I will not put this stuff in lists. NO MORE SEMANTICS FOR ME THIS WEEK! I tell you. For the past few days I’ve spent a good chunk of time c&p’ing things from word documents and adding freakin’ ols, uls and p tags all over the shop. Not fun.
It was Chuck Norris’ birthday this week, so here’s a celebratory Chuck Norris chopping board. Did you know that Chuck Norris can slam a revolving door? Oh, Chuck.
Amazing balloon sculptures by Hans Hemmert, love the deflated tank. Via booooooom
Some of the best tattoos I’ve seen in a while, from New York tattoo artist Amanda Wachob. I’ve been trying to pin-point the style I want my foot tattoos in, and I wanted a kind of washy japanese/chinese ink stroke style. The bird here is just a perfect example. So, do I fly to New York or find someone local who works the same way?! hah.

HADOUKEN! erm.. Hoboken. Some photoshop wizard came up with this cute adjustment to a New Jersey road sign for Hoboken… which sounds a lot like Ryu’s HADOUKEN! via thetanooki
Adam, don’t be afraid if one day you come back and our cats are sharks… or mother fucking space ships!
Some geeks transformed a room into an amazing dungeons and dragons den, it even has a sounds system and a fog machine (FOG MACHINE!). All it needs now is a gunge-machine for when that huge fucking gelatinous cube comes at you. Dude. Via boingboing
Also on unplggd this week there’s this sweet Mario and Luigi styled furniture. I know I’m like 25 and all that, but I would SERIOUSLY consider this for my next house. Altho I’m still wanting a raptor bed. Almost bought dinosaur bed covers in tesco. Amazing.
Quit hiding your cables, dress them up! Via unplgged
Annie’s eats does chicken and shrimp jambalaya, we’re having a deep south cook-off in our kitchen in the next couple of weeks. We’ll have gumbo, jambalaya, red velvet cake, corn bread, sweet p’tatos & all manner of cajun goodies. Think we’re doing a sausage jambalaya!
This guy is a super genius. Look at those dunks! they’re all metal and shit! :O
Are you gearing up for Halloween? We are! I’m going to start decorating the house this weekend, homemade decorations a-go-go! Heidi from My Paper Crane made some great window decorations.
I’ve also been having lots of fun getting together small Christmas goodie bags for the orders made from finestimaginary.com and the folksy/etsy store. Hard to decide what to put in them though!!
Sarah Von, from yesandyes.org, wrote this great guest post all about New Zealand. I think we might visit there for a few days in April on our way back from Australia (looking likely we’re going again, and I will go out of my way to see a freakin’ wild Kangaroo this time! God damnit!).
Hi, I'm Kim. Between being a web designer and making pretty things I'm mostly interested in Creatures (regular and crypto), geekiness, my inner domestic goddess, drawing and coffee.
