Sometimes you’ll pick out something to eat over here, something that looks like a delicious sweet bun with that gorgeous crispy sugary crunchy coating… then you’ll bite into it, loving the sugary crunch and texture… until you hit a pocket of BBQ pork and you realise you picked out the wrong thing. However, not being fussy eaters, we quite enjoyed them!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a monkey look upon someone with such contempt. I didn’t notice it’s expression until I cropped the photo. Today we’re sleepy. I’ll put some more things on schedule for you to see later :) We’ve had a fun day at Ocean Park looking at pandas, goldfish and other weird things.

Busy first day in HK. We headed to central this morning on the ferry (seriously, that thing costs 20p to cross the water, I pay £1.20 to go a mile on the bus back home!), didn’t really have a plan of where we were going for the day. walked to Graham St. Market, then headed up to the Botanical gardens on the escalators, then we came back down to graham street and had lunch at Lan Fong Yuen. We came back shortly after that and met up with Beckie for vegetarian dim sum, then went to crazy Mong Kok where I bought a new lens (wahoo!). Tomorrow is ocean park.

Hi guys, Sorry for the lack of posting this week, I’ve been busy getting things done before we headed off to Hong Kong for two weeks. We just made it here today, in the midst of a health scare (we had to fill in documents saying that to our knowledge we didn’t think we had swine flu o.O) and muggy weather :)

So we’re completely knackered from our 17hour trip and grabbed food from a random cafe (rice and bbq pork) before heading back to our tiny hostel room (hah we have a wet room, the shower’s totally above the toilet!). Planning on getting an early night, not sure what we’ll be up to tomorrow though! Expect daily posts on Hong Kong for the next couple of weeks, though!!

2 weeks tomorrow we head to Hong Kong! I’m super excited, so a lot of this weeks good stuff revolves around the researching I’ve been doing for the trip :)

• Can’t wait to visit the bird market and goldfish street while we’re there, looks amazing! Krisatomic has some great photos from the bird market. I might pick up a pretty new lens for my 400d whilst I’m there, seeing as there’ll be so much lens candy!

• The lovely Emily Blunt vanity fair shoot, saw this on Perez Hilton (and, unusually, the photos had no jism on them!).

• Nice advertising campaign for RSPCA australia. I would link you to the design house’s website, but it takes about a FOREVER to freakin’ load… and when it does it’s not very friendly. Take note, if your website takes longer than 5 seconds to load on a broadband connection people’ll just close the window.

• These are pretty neat, right?
• Miss Twinkie Chan just got back from Hong Kong and has made a super rad video montage! Check that shit out!
