Annie’s eats does chicken and shrimp jambalaya, we’re having a deep south cook-off in our kitchen in the next couple of weeks. We’ll have gumbo, jambalaya, red velvet cake, corn bread, sweet p’tatos & all manner of cajun goodies. Think we’re doing a sausage jambalaya!
Getting a cold in summer is the most ridiculous sickness ever. It started last week with what I believed to be hayfever (LIES!) and by Thursday I was sneezing around the office and drowning in tissues. I went home to my sickbed (full of two kittens who would NOT let me sleep), and drowned in even more tissues. On Friday, Adam came down with the same illness, apart from he didn’t get double teamed with a asthma-related cough. Thus, no weekly good stuff was published (apologies, I’ll do a good one this week). I’ve recovered now, though, and am fully functioning.
You’ll be glad to know that the kitchen worktops are resting in place (zomg, kitchen!), and soon enough we will no longer be washing up in the bath! The new studio has underlay down, too, ready for it’s carpet scraps (don’t ask, we’re broke and being frugal). Also, we brought the wii and the xbox home this weekend ♥
I’m still ridiculously shocked about Michael Jackson’s death, he was a pioneer! I’ve been singing thriller more than ever :( Me and my driving instructor spent my whole lesson on Saturday talking about it, sad times, sad times. I honestly would not have been as shocked if Britney had croaked! This video upset me more than it should have, too…
I’ve been added a few new favourites to my etsy hearts this week so I thought I’d do a bit of a round-up of the things I really love on there at the moment :) Don’t forget, you can visit finestimaginary’s etsy store here!
Lady fish plate by lukaluka who have some awesome painted crockery in their store.
I’ve told you that Adam and I are currently camping out in my parents study, right? Well, here’s ‘home’. It’s cosy, if hella messy… at least we have a big TV :) I’ve added notes to the photo on flickr so you can more understand the disarrangement.
Between raking through kitchen cupboards, obsessively reading the Twilight books and cutting up old copies of Elle (not even mentioning working 9-5.30, to boot), I’ve decided to grace you with a post. Aren’t you pleased?
Yes, this week… well, since new year really, has been busy. We hope to be moving house in around a month. A MONTH! Jesus. Which means we have to pack up our obnoxiously large collection of books, remove random items from kitchen cupboards and store EVERYTHING at parent’s homes. It’s not too much fun, all said. I have a few articles almost ready to go for hiphop, you’ll be pleased to know :) However, for now you may just have to deal with concise whining from my everyday life. That, and photos seeing as Adam livingly gave me an 8MB compact flash card for my Birthday ;) Lovely jubly!
Some things of note: obsessing over the twilight books (I’ve read the first 3 in two days each, with the final one currently in transit from amazon); playing with RAW images; finally whittling down the pile of magazines by cutting out the good bits; slightly annoyingly can’t find the luella monster t-shirt *anywhere*, now that I’ve finally decided to buy one.. ; lack of bags.. where can I get a good bag? le sigh; slumdog millionaire; homemade yasi yaki soba; conveyor belt sushi at 40% off :O
Hi, I'm Kim. Between being a web designer and making pretty things I'm mostly interested in Creatures (regular and crypto), geekiness, my inner domestic goddess, drawing and coffee.
