Straight into it this week, check out the video above. It’s amazing.
The BBC website/visual identity is changing, they’ve got one of my most favourite designs on board (Neville Brody, I heard him speak once and he basically told us that Uni didn’t mean shit… I still stand by that statement) to help see it over. Super interesting stuff if you’re into web design, or graphic design, or anything remotely related to technology I guess.
And on the subject of geeky web-stuff, I went to a conference last week in Leeds called Speak the web. Well, I say conference, it was more like a group of speakers in a relaxed pub environment, it was neat. So maybe I should do a write up about it? Maybe.
This photo of a snowy dog belly made me laugh quite a lot the other day, maybe more than I should have. Via cuteoverload.
The british library are holding a special exhibition for all things Alice in Wonderland, they have this original manuscript of ‘Alice’s Adventures Underground’ written and illustrated by Lewis Carroll. Neat, hey? You can find out more and see more of the scan on the CR blog » Curiouser and Curiouser.
Hi guys, Halloween tomorrow! yay! I’ll post our outfits then, they’re 100% unfinished right now… uh… Also we need to carve some pumpkins. Yes yes. I think I’ll do a Mickey Mouse one :D
Dead taun taun wedding cake. Fuck. This is amazing, they never do this kinda shit on Ace of Cakes. WHY? Anyway, hopefully it smelt/tasted better than the innards of a real taun taun. Did I just say ‘real’? Yes, yes I did. You should also know that I often come out with shit like ‘I sometimes like to imagine I’m being chased by an AT-AT, it makes me move with haste’. Luckily for you all Adam bares the brunt of these random outbursts.
It’s been a few weeks since the last weekly good stuff post, I’m sorry, I have excuses but they’re boring and mainly about me being sleepy. So here’s the return, with some stuff that’s pretty ancient. Mwa x
Christ, someone needs to make these in adult sizes! RAPTOR! I would totally survive a raptor attack.
Amazing hello kitty anatomy toys, read more here at Dr Romaneilli’s site.
Hello nike burger, I would like to eat you. Maybe.
Friday, friday, FRIDAY! How was your week, kittens? Lets top it off with some fabulous things, shall we?
Yesterday I decided that I needed something new to listen to on the walk to work, I started looking at audio books (wow, pricey), but coincidently Miss Gala Darling was doing a special day long sale on her new audio series ‘Love & Sequins‘. I thought what the hell, and bought a year subscription last night. So it came to about £37, but for 12 episodes each at over an hour, filled with super girl fun stuff, and the ability to support an independent blog queen, I think it’s money well spent. I listened to the first 35 minutes of episode 1 this morning and it’s a really good listen, I must say. Do you guys listen to any interesting pod casts?
This shirt by Luella.
My watch of calculatory dreams arrived yesterday, it’s so fly!
I booked our tickets for Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince! I’m so so so excited, really can’t wait. How geeky! I even made sure to book for the showing with the big screen, too. Speaking of Harry Potter…
Far from flashing her panties on the red carpet, Emma Watson’s photo shoot for this months UK Elle really shows how she’s grown up! Cute!
I’m super excited for the new finestimaginary necklaces coming in a few days, there’s 7 new designs on the way! Yep, 7!
I’ve found myself sketching a story about a girl who fell in love with a sea monster, it’s kinda creepy cute. She travels across the sea in a hot air balloon trying and find her lost love. Who knows where this’ll go!
Very jealous that I didn’t go to the Luella sample sale, Susie Bubble went, though, and picked up some cute things. The bag pictured above is most definitely my favourite thing! Oo two luella things in one post!
Gotta get me one of these! I think I’ll have to find some place for a cardboard safari head in the house, definitely.
Hi, I'm Kim. Between being a web designer and making pretty things I'm mostly interested in Creatures (regular and crypto), geekiness, my inner domestic goddess, drawing and coffee.
