Wow, I think I’ve got the right day this week! Well readers, here’s what I’ve collected this week…
I’m in hearts with this vinyl el chupacabra (for my cryptozoologically sheltered readers, you can find out more about the little beast here!), there’s a flickr set with loads of other photos of this goat sucking fiend, too!
For some reason I book marked two baking things this week, including a 14 layer cake and some minty minty cupcakes! I might make some of the later this weekend.
These penguin classic redesign versions of the harry potter books are lovely lovely. Apparently going to be available as prints soon, will definitely keep a look out for them! You should also check out the spiderwick chroncicles, and lemony snicket versions (on the same blog), too!
Loving this mac for hello kitty promo video!
In other news, Oh Em Gee, we’ve exchanged contracts for our P.O.S house. Means we get the keys on tuesday. Uber excitment/scariness.
WOW! So much to write about in the weekly yeti this week :D It all started last week I guess, but I’d already lined up that super cute t-shirt for you guys to check out then…
Well, this news has even been on the BBC (originally here, and most recently here), so it’s pretty big! I’ve been following it on Cryptomundo and a few other blogs, and it’s just hilariously hoaxy.
Basically, a couple of guys tried to say they’d found bigfoot’s body… even going so far as to arrange a press conference where they would unveil bigfoots rotting corpse. Suffice to say it’s all a hoax, and it’s been revealed that the body was nothing more than an ape suit with some roadkill thrown in for good measure.
One of the guys was a cop, who it’s believed is getting the boot after this whole debacle. Anyway, check out those links above for some more indepth info about it all :)
This week I wanted to bring up the topic of actual factual Yeti’s in existence! There was a really interesting news article a week or two ago about the existance of Yeti’s. Basically, some vvveeerrrry cool bits of hair have been found that may belong to a Yeti, or at least a huge ape like creature that hasn’t been discovered before. Apparently they found a couple of monkeys around the same area a few years ago that were a brand new undiscovered species!
The hair in question is really similar to some hair that Sir Edmund Hillary once brought back and claimed was that of a Yeti (it’s now in the natural history museum!).
Hi, I'm Kim. Between being a web designer and making pretty things I'm mostly interested in Creatures (regular and crypto), geekiness, my inner domestic goddess, drawing and coffee.
