What a week! Things have been pretty busy on the Finest Imaginary side, I’ve never made as many badger necklaces before. I also lost my valiant helper, Adam, as he flew out to Chile on Monday for a work conference. Being home alone has its upsides I guess, I’ve been trying to clear my boards of a few projects before he gets back on the 20th, it means I can take a relatively proper Christmas break!
The fog outside yesterday was super wintery, shame it turned the world to ice this morning!
Creeping Up
+ Oprah Magazine for the iPad, I bought a subscription to this a while ago and haven’t really read much of it (mainly because it wasn’t retina-fied, but now it is!). I’ve been catching 30 minutes here and there to read some, though, and there’re some interesting articles in there. Not sure I’ll renew my subscription though.
+ Christmas decorations, YEAH!
+ The Christmas edition of the Radio Times. We don’t watch much proper TV, mainly just netflix/box-sets, but I certainly look forward to specials and short series’ over the festive period.
+ My new office chair! Had a bit of a bad back lately which I’m not completely attributing to my ex-dining-chair-made-office-chair, but I think it could be a contributing factor. I’ve upgraded to a swish office chair just today! Granted, it’s not an Aeron (we can but dream) but it should do the trick for now :)
+ The Huddersfield festival of lights last weekend was pretty awesome, Adam and I spent an afternoon being entertained by street artists, fire & a food festival. Unfortunately due to the windy weather the tightrope walk didn’t go ahead on the night we were there, we still had a great time though!
Crashing Down
- Being on my own for 10 days is pretty boring, tbh.
- The whole 12/12/12 thing this week (“This is the last time we’ll see this in our lifetimes”…). I *just can’t wait* until the 21st either! Facebook’s going to be a laugh riot.
- The grumpy bastards at the post office, that’s mainly the other customers… I get so many scowls when I go in with my parcels, even though they’ve already got their stamps on and I’m just dropping them off!

Nice picture of garden. I take it that the messy one on the right is yours. Sad, because gardening is simply awesome. Really, really awesome.
Yes the ‘messy’ one is mine, it’s ‘messy’ because we’ve just ripped down our garage in an ongoing house and garden renovation. Do you know what else is awesome? not judging people’s living spaces without knowing the full story :)
