So, I was just going through some photos from the other day, and look at this cheeky fucker.

2 weeks tomorrow we head to Hong Kong! I’m super excited, so a lot of this weeks good stuff revolves around the researching I’ve been doing for the trip :)

• Can’t wait to visit the bird market and goldfish street while we’re there, looks amazing! Krisatomic has some great photos from the bird market. I might pick up a pretty new lens for my 400d whilst I’m there, seeing as there’ll be so much lens candy!

• The lovely Emily Blunt vanity fair shoot, saw this on Perez Hilton (and, unusually, the photos had no jism on them!).

• Nice advertising campaign for RSPCA australia. I would link you to the design house’s website, but it takes about a FOREVER to freakin’ load… and when it does it’s not very friendly. Take note, if your website takes longer than 5 seconds to load on a broadband connection people’ll just close the window.

• These are pretty neat, right?
• Miss Twinkie Chan just got back from Hong Kong and has made a super rad video montage! Check that shit out!

Hi guys, I was getting TOTALLY annoyed with the basic out of box wordpress comment functions. It has no functionality for decently threaded conversations (srsly, shouldn’t that be a given?) and only basic subscription capabilities. Soooo, now that there’s quite a few of you commenting around here I thought I’d investigate a better comment system, enter ‘Intense Debate!’ If anything, Intense Debate has a few too many features, but the things it can do are fantabulous :D

Right, so I don’t want you to be scared about it’s featurefulness, it’s not too complex… honest! You can comment as you did before, but this time you can choose to sign up for a Intense Debate account too (or use OpenID), which will give you a profile that appears alongside your comments. You can also choose to have follow up comments sent to you by email, which is a super handy feature and something I really wanted to implement! Another handy feature is the ability to rate other people’s comments, giving them a tumbs up or a thumbs down (srsly though, play nice).

The whole comment area looks totally different now, too. I really hope we can get a few threaded discussions going on :)

So, hiphop is going to undergo somewhat of a transformation in the coming weeks! Fear not, old faves like the Weekly Yeti will remain, as will my random posts about cool stuff. However the blog is going to become more of a… well… blog.

• Girly review posts – I’m planning on embracing my girlness more on here, right now it’s turning into a completely tech-geek kind of blog. So, expect a few posts about makeup & fashion.
• Travel – I have been meaning to introduce some more travel related posts into hiphop, but haven’t really gotten round to it. I’m an avid traveller and really need to start documenting this more. So expect ’round up’ style posts about cities, places & expeditions. Also planning on a few posts about places I’d really love to visit.
• My own art – Recently, I’ve been slacking on the crafting & art front. This must stop! So yes, I’m going to start reviewing my design and art based work on a weekly (or at least fortnightly) basis.
• Growing my business – This sounds quite boring, but I think putting down in writing the obstacles that I face on a day to day basis will help me (and hopefully others!) in the long run!
• Day to Day – It’s a blog, right, so I’m going to start actually blogging about the things I get up to! And even illustrate it with photos! Sounds promising. I’ve been neglecting my camera lately, too, so hopefully this will help!

Along with this, I’m going to attempt to increase posts lengths… add more images… and review my categories (they’re too vast! way too vast!).

This weeks yeti is brought to you by another strange and wonderful creature – The Yeti crab!

Ok, so I only picked this because of it’s namesake, but still, it’s definitely Yeti goodness. This guy’s a pretty recent discovery, too, found in the Pacific ocean in 2006. Ok so it’s real name is Kiwa Hirsuta, and it’s a friendly crustacean (think… Crusty Crab). Here’s a video about his discovery:
